Inc Consulting is proud to be supporting a well‑established and highly respected name within South Yorkshire, in their search for an experienced Purchasing Lead to oversee and coordinate all procurement activity across multiple sites.
This is a key role within a trusted, long‑standing business, ensuring the right stock is available at the right time to meet customer demand while upholding high standards of quality, service, and value.
About the Role
As the Purchasing Lead, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end purchasing process across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and controlling all purchasing activities for multiple depot locations.

Ensuring stock levels are maintained in line with demand, working closely with the Stock Controller to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with both existing and new suppliers.

Negotiating effectively to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and service levels, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and timely delivery.

Working within a buying group framework — prior experience of this would be highly beneficial.

Collaborating closely with on‑site teams across sales, finance, warehouse operations, and wider colleagues to ensure seamless day‑to‑day operations,
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a building materials, trade, or similar product‑led environment.
