Job Description
As Payroll Administrator, you'll be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service across a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and payroll legislation is adhered to. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of payroll clients, processing payrolls from start to finish.
- Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls across a variety of sectors.
- Administering workplace pensions, statutory payments (including SSP and SMP) and payroll deductions.
- Ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and in line with current HMRC legislation and compliance requirements.
- Acting as the main point of contact for your clients, responding to payroll queries and building strong working relationships.
- Managing multiple deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working within a payroll bureau, accountancy practice or multi-client payroll environment (essential).
- Experience processing end-to-end payroll across multiple clients or businesses.
- A good understanding of workplace pensions, statutory payments and current payroll legislation.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and client deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills and confidence building relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to become productive quickly following a structured onboarding process.
What's on Offer?
A salary of £28,000 - £30,000, depending on experience, alongside a temporary contract of up to six months with an immediate start. The role offers hybrid working (two days working from home) and flexibility around working hours, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for their next contract.
