Inclusive Consulting is excited to be partnering with a growing, private equity-backed business in Sheffield to recruit a Financial Accountant into a newly evolving role. Reporting directly to an experienced and highly credible CFO, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where you'll gain broad exposure, make a genuine impact and play a key role as the finance function continues to develop.
Job Description:
- Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting the year-end audit process.
- Producing accurate monthly financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities, identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls.
- Assisting with technical accounting matters, financial analysis and ad-hoc projects as the business continues to evolve.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing insight and supporting informed decision-making.
Person Specification:
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- A strong grounding in statutory accounts, financial reporting and technical accounting.
- Experience gained within Practice, making this an ideal first move into Industry, although candidates already in industry will also be considered.
- Strong systems and Excel skills, with the confidence to learn new processes and identify improvements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across the wider business.
- A proactive, can-do attitude, genuine curiosity and a desire to learn, improve and add value.
