Job Description
- Take ownership of the day-to-day Purchase Ledger function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding queries efficiently.
- Support the preparation and processing of supplier payment runs in line with agreed schedules and controls.
- Allocate cash receipts and payments, ensuring financial records and ledgers remain accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment-related queries.
- Provide broader support to the finance team with transactional and ad hoc accounting duties as required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working in a transactional finance or Accounts Assistant position.
- Strong Purchase Ledger experience, including invoice processing, reconciliations and supplier management.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and organisation.
- Confident using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines within a busy environment.
- A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a positive approach to work.

This is a full-time, primarily office-based role in Chesterfield, offering a salary of £27,000 - £29,000 DOE.
